I’m Rachael – the heart behind Mindful Trails. 🐾

I’m a lifelong dog lover and experienced dog owner with a deep passion for animals, nature, and wellbeing. Mindful Trails was born from my belief that every dog deserves not just care, but connection with canine companions, with people, with nature, and with themselves.

Spending time outdoors isn’t just great exercise for dogs — it’s essential for their happiness. I create calm, sensory-rich experiences that help dogs relax, explore, and thrive, especially when life gets too busy for their humans to be there.

Whether it’s a mindful walk, daytime care, or an overnight stay, I’m here to offer your pup the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Safe, happy, and content — that’s the Mindful Trails promise.

My Story

Since having my first dog at the age of seven, I haven't looked back. In more recent years, I've had two cockapoos, Monty and Max, who are both no longer with me. These days, I focus on helping other people with their dogs. I started on a larger dog walking app, meeting dogs and taking them on board for overnight stays, before deciding to evolve my offering, that's where Mindful Trails comes in. I wanted to go above and beyond the usual dog walking apps, to offer owners the true peace of mind that their dogs full wellbeing is a priority and ensure that I am giving the dogs who are with me a calming, nuturing, safe and dedicated experience, to ensure they lead happy lives, even when their owners aren't there!

Mindful Trails is here for 3 main reasons:

2. To give your pup(s) mental stimulation, to keep them happy and content

3. To give you peace of mind that your dog is safe and happy whilst you are working or away
